| Dr. Rajeev Jain
Dr. Rajeev Jain graduated from the University
of Texas with a degree in Chemical Engineering. As a student,
Dr. Jain was interested in both engineering and medicine,
but ultimately decided a career in medicine was his. Dr.
Jain states, “Engineering is problem-solving and that’s
what doctors do.”
Dr. Jain graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston
in 1993. He served as a resident here in Dallas for the
Department of internal medicine at the University of Texas
Southwestern Medical School, and remained at Southwestern
to complete his Fellowship in Gastroenterology in 1999.
He is board certified in Gastroenterology.
Dr. Jain is Chief of Gastroenterology at Presbyterian Hospital
of Dallas, and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine
at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School since
2002. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological
Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and
the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and a
Fellow of the American College of Physicians since 2004.
Dr. Jain received the Presbyterian Hospital House Staff
Annual Robert L. North, M.D. Teaching Award for 2002-2003.
He serves on several committees for Presbyterian Hospital
on behalf of the Gastroenterology and Surgical Departments.
He served on the American College of Gastroenterology Practice
Management Committee from 2003 through 2006. D Magazine
has named Dr. Jain as one of the Best Doctors in Dallas
annually since 2001.
Dr. Jain’s special areas of interest include colon
cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, and pancreaticobiliary
disorders. He performs a wide array of advanced endoscopic
procedures. Outside the office, Dr. Jain enjoys spending
time with his wife and two children and of course Texas
Longhorn football.
