Dr. Steven Katzman

Dr. Steven Katzman was raised in Mexico City, Mexico. He obtained his medical degree from la Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico in 1982. His residency in internal medicine was completed at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial and affiliated hospitals in Miami, Florida in 1986. Then, in 1988, Dr. Katzman completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Katzman has been in practice in the Dallas area approximately 16 years. In addition to practicing with Texas Digestive Disease Consultants, Dr. Katzman is on staff at Las Colinas Medical Center and at Baylor Medical Center of Irving, where he is currently president of the medical staff. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Katzman is committed to avoiding the desensitization of medicine by providing his patients the best care in the most respectful and understanding environment. He views the ever changing landscape in healthcare as an opportunity to improve medical care for all. Dr. Katzman is fluent in Spanish and has a love for languages. He also enjoys travel, sports, and music.
