| Dr. Peter M. Loeb
Dr. Peter M. Loeb was born in Sweetwater,
Texas. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of
Texas in 1961 and received his Doctor of Medicine, Alpha
Omega Alpha, in 1965 from the University of Texas Southwestern
Medical School at Dallas.
Dr. Loeb continued his medical education with internship
at the Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. He returned
to Texas for his residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital
in Dallas. He served as a Clinical Associate in the Section
on Gastroenterology, the National Institute of Arthritis
and Metabolic Disease, NIH, in Bethesda, MD and as a Trainee
in Gastroenterology at the University of California in San
Francisco, CA, until 1971. He was Assistant Professor of
Medicine at University of California, San Diego before returning
to Texas in 1974. Dr. Loeb was Associate Professor of Medicine
and Radiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical
School and Chief of Gastroenterology at the Dallas Veterans
Hospital until 1976 when he moved to Presbyterian Hospital
of Dallas.
Dr. Loeb is presently serving as Director of the Gastroenterology
Laboratory at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and is Clinical
Professor of Medicine at Southwestern Medical School. He
is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association,
the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American
Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and a Fellow of the
American College of Physicians. He is board certified in
both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Loeb and his wife Gail have been married for 42 years.
They have two sons, two daughters and three grandchildren.
He enjoys spending time with his family, travel, golf, and
music.
