Dr. Bhavani Moparty
Dr. Bhavani Moparty grew up in central Louisiana and graduated from Tulane Medical School. She later completed an Internal Medicine residency at Rush Presbyterian/St Luke's hospital in Chicago and a Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Moparty subsequently received an additional year of formal training in EUS, ERCP and advanced therapeutic procedures at the combined Massachusetts General/ Brigham & Women's Harvard program. She is board certified in Gastroenterology.
Dr. Moparty is active in the GI community and is a member of various national committees including the ASGE membership and diversity committees and the ACG Minority Affairs and Cultural Diversity committee.
Dr.Moparty's special interests in gastroenterology include colorectal cancer screening and gastrointestinal oncology with an emphasis on Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) for the staging and diagnosis of esophageal, gastric, rectal and pancreatic cancer and evaluation of subepithelial and mediastinal lesions. She also has a particular interest in EUS/FNA for pancreatic cystic lesions and has authored papers in leading medical journals. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with family and traveling.
