Dr. Charles C. Owen

Dr. Owen is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas. He attended Tulane University, where he graduated summa cum laude majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Economics in 1992. While at Tulane, Dr. Owen studied abroad for one year attending the University of Oxford, St. Catherine’s College in Great Britain. Dr. Owen went on to attend Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, completing his Medical Degree in 1998. He did his internship training at Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center and his residency at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital, both in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2001, Dr. Owen attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for his fellowship training in gastroenterology and ERCP/EUS. He also became a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Digestive Diseases beginning in 2004. He has extensive research training in Barrett’s esophagus, calcium metabolism, biliary disease, and environmental economics. Dr. Owen began his career in private practice in 2005 after joining Arlington Gastroenterology Associates, LLP. In September 2007, Dr. Owen and his fellow partners in AGA, LLP joined their colleagues in Texas Digestive Disease Associates, PA.

Dr. Owen is board certified in gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Texas Medical Association, and Tarrant County Medical Society.

Outside of the office, Dr. Owen enjoys various sporting activities, hunting, fishing, hiking, Taekwondo, as well as classical piano, reading sci-fi, and dabbling with electronics. He, his wife, and young son currently reside in Arlington.
