Dr. Gabriel Rendon

Dr. Gabriel Rendon was originally born in Dallas, TX. He received his Bachelor degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Texas A&M University in 2000. He graduated Summa Cum Laude, achieving both University Honors and Foundation Honors. He then attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, obtaining his Doctor of Medicine degree with Alpha Omega Alpha honors in 2004.

Dr. Rendon then completed his internship and residency at the prestigious Brigham & Women's Hospital of Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. After completing his training at Harvard, Dr. Rendon chose to return to Texas. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX in 2010.

Dr. Rendon is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist. He is a member of several national professional organizations including the American Gastroenterology Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Rendon has special interest in acid reflux disease, inflammatory bowel disease, eosinophillic disorders of the GI tract, pancreaticobiliary disorders, liver disorders, and colon cancer screening. Dr. Rendon is trained to perform many diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and small bowel capsule endoscopy. In addition he can perform advanced procedures such as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).

Dr. Rendon enjoys fishing, kayaking, camping, and spending time with his family. His other past-times include sports, reading, and completing crossword puzzles.
