Dr. Paulino Rivera-Torres

Dr. Rivera-Torres grew up in the small town of Cocoyoc, Mexico. He attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and as the Outstanding Graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences. He went on to receive his medical degree in 2002 from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and then completed his internal medicine residency in 2005 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He moved to Dallas where he specialized in gastroenterology at Baylor University Medical Center.

Dr. Rivera-Torres loves the privilege of practicing medicine and enjoys the challenge of diagnosing and caring for patients with a broad range of gastrointestinal diseases. He is a member of multiple internal medicine and gastroenterological professional associations. At home he enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and traveling, where his native Spanish is often useful.
