| Dr. S. Mohsin Shah
Dr. Shah was born and raised in Srinagar, Kashmir. He attended medical school in Pakistan at King Edward Medical College, graduating in 1970. In 1971, Dr. Shah came to Trenton, New Jersey to complete his internship at Helene Fuld Hospital. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The College of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, New Jersey in 1974. Dr. Shah attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, completing his fellowship training in Gastroenterology in 1976.
In 1977, Dr. Shah moved to Texas and began practicing medicine at Irving Gastroenterology Clinic. After eleven years, the group became part of a multi-specialty group, The Medical and Surgical Clinic of Irving. He continued to practice with this group until 1999, at which time he chose to move his practice to the Arlington area. Dr. Shah joined Arlington Gastroenterology Associates, LLP in 1999 and in September 2007, the partners elected to join Texas Digestive Disease Consultants, PA.
Dr. Shah has served as the Chief of Staff at Baylor Medical Center in Irving and is currently Chief of Gastroenterology at Arlington Memorial Hospital. Also, he serves as Medical Director of North Texas GI Center in Arlington. Dr. Shah is board certified in gastroenterology. He is currently a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Tarrant County Medical Society, American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. Also, he is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Shah believes in providing the highest quality medical care through the most effective and efficient means available. His patients are treated with compassion and integrity.
Outside of the office, Dr. Shah enjoys sailing. He is the father of four grown children. He and his wife reside in Colleyville.
