Dr. Raymond A. Vallera
Hailing from Steubenville, Ohio, Dr. Raymond Vallera learned the values of hard work and unrivaled ethics in this steel community. Dr. Vallera received his undergraduate degree in pre-medicine from the University of Notre Dame. In 1990, he received his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He then continued his pursuit of medicine attending the University of Connecticut Health Sciences Center where he completed his residency in internal medicine. Dr. Vallera completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center from 1993-1996. He then obtained board certification in both Internal medicine and Gastroenterology.
Dr. Vallera is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the Texas Society for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy. Dr. Vallera performs a wide variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including screening colonoscopy, endoscopy, and biliary procedures.
When Dr. Vallera is not practicing medicine, he will be found enjoying life with his wife and two children. Dr. Vallera also enjoys traveling with his family, an occasional round of golf and, of course, Notre Dame football.
